We are Mark 1 Custom Software, also known as Mark 1 Design LLC. We are based out of the Champaign, IL and the Phoenix, AZ areas in the US. What User Data We Collect

We collect user names, emails, and messages sent via contact forms. Data collected outside the contact form may be aggregated or anonymized. This includes the types of devices used to access our website (i.e. laptop or phone), as well as the countries the users are from. This also includes the name of the website which led the user to our website, such as Google. (This does not include information about any other websites visited.) We also collect information about each user’s activity on the website (i.e. number of visits, duration of the visits, pages viewed, buttons clicked, and whether a form was filled).

Why We Collect Data

Aggregate statistics about users help us make marketing decisions, but the data is not used for targeted advertising. We also collect data as necessary to respond to contact requests.

Who We Share Data with and How It Is Shared

We share data with Wix, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4. These websites are service providers which process data under contractual agreements. Our website uses essential cookies required for security and core functionality. Wix and Google Analytics 4 also use analytics cookies to collect information like page visits, session duration, and interactions but do not directly identify individual users. Users can disable cookies in their browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How We Store and Protect User Information

Wix uses HTTPS/SSL encryption for user data and stores it on secure servers behind firewalls. It also limits employee access to user data. In addition, Wix performs ongoing security monitoring and updates. Wix stores data with servers in multiple countries and complies with data transfer laws. Data may be transferred outside the user’s country, but safeguards are used, including standard contractual clauses. Mark 1 Custom Software stores the information provided in contact forms with access limited to one person. If a user chooses to provide an email, it will not be shared with any other businesses. Data will be kept for 5 years, unless a user requests its removal.

User Rights to Their Own Information

Users have the right to prevent their data from being used in any way that they do not approve of. We don’t sell any user information. Users also have the right to opt out of having their information shared. All website users who have submitted the contact form have the right to remove themselves from our email list. Questions, including privacy requests, can be directed to Amanda_Sullivan_Weiss@mark1online.com. Users may disable cookies through their browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. They have the right to access their data, correct any inaccuracies, request more detailed information, and delete their data. Users may request any information they have submitted through our contact forms and receive it through a CSV file. We will provide this data in less than one month.

Child Privacy

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, our website is not intended to be used by children under the age of 13. Our website is intended to be used by adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
